Ajay Bansal, Advocate of the Supreme Court of India, has been practicing law for nearly three decades. He graduated from the University of Delhi, where he later pursued his law degree. In 1992, he attended the University of Ottawa, Canada, for higher studies. Over the years, Mr Bansal has authored articles on legal issues and appeared in television programmes advocating for legal and public interest causes.

During the Uttarakhand tragedy in Kedarnath, he filed a writ petition in his name to secure justice for numerous individuals stranded in Gangotri and other regions. His efforts led to rescue helicopter services reaching those in dire need. Despite receiving invitations from multiple media channels and organisations, Mr Bansal has consciously avoided public limelight, choosing instead to focus on his work.
